We stayed at this hotel for 9 nights as part of a Jet2 Holidays package on an ALL INCLUSIVE basis. It has Official rating is ***** 5 star with a Jet2 rating of **** 4 star Neither are deserved. Our room was a ground floor suite with garden view. No garden just a 3 metre wide area of grass overlooking onto other rooms. The hotel is clean & tidy but the rooms are in need of urgent refurbishment. Tiling & grouting needs renewing. The jacuzzi never worked & its drain mechanism was only replaced on day 8. The telephone never worked & its wiring required replacing by excavation into the walls. Wifi security on room was constantly going down & eventually was refitted by hotel engineer. The main area of criticism however was the restaurant. The buffet food service in main restaurant for breakfast & dinner was constantly tepid even when the restaurant was first open. Two evenings each week dinner was ’el fresco’ which was then cold when taken to tables around pool area. Omelettes & flambre desserts were available to order on Wednesdays& Sundays but this info was not publically disseminated. On positive side staff were generally helpful & friendly & did their best to solve issues. The free shuttle coach service was worthwhile & made hotels location accessible to downtown Sorrento. In conclusion an overpriced holiday experience which I will not be repeating. Jet2 Holidays seemed unable to sort out the food issues during our stay.

Very grand hotel . Amazing reception and dining areas - view over the med whilst you dine . Staff are really warm and friendly Food is good . Plenty of choice All inclusive can be very hit and miss and this was probably the best food and drink I've had on an all inclusive. Peroni was the draft beer! Whoop ! Some moaning brits on here complaining about the walk to town - when there was a free shuttle bus every hour . Sorrento Town centre is busy and noisy so this is ideal for a day time chill . Enjoyed the hot yoga downstairs as well Would go back

Check in was quick and straight forward they keep your passports so remember to collect at some point! The hotel is situated out of the main Sorrento area but we were glad to be outside the hustle and bustle and could easily pop down on the free shuttle bus. Staff all friendly and helpful I liked the traditional decor if you want modern and minimalist go somewhere else. It’s a great base to visit all of the sites very easily Pompeii was a short walk from hotel to train station 2.80e and Pompeii access directly from station. We also booked the Amalfi prestige boat trip through jet2 had a great day included snacks and drinks both soft and beers. I was worried about the food comments as I am vegetarian and if I had believed some of the comments I would have starved! This is not the case breakfast is standard yogurt granola cereal toast pastries and cooked breakfast available (juice not the best dispensed from a machine) and agree with coffee comments could be better. But we managed to muster up iced coffee round the pool! Lunch was plentiful lots of choice salad meats pizza fries. Evening meal again pasta option always a veggie option grilled vegetables pumpkin pies were great and lots of desserts! Wine is by the bottle on an evening red white or Prosecco along with bottled water. They have a great set up that the food is in an adjoining room so you don’t have the constant clatter and people getting up and down. The pool is on the cool side but fine once you get in and we always managed to get a sunbed & no one reserves them pool towels are provided. no music round or aqua aerobics my idea of heaven! Great hotel x

5⭐️ Staff amazingly friendly and helpful,rooms and towels freshened daily,good selection of food,free regular shuttle buses to and from sorrento,plenty of sunbeds,pool 'refreshing' excursions are fantastic,well planned and in English,..building maybe seen as dated but its lovely. You get fresh water left everyday in room, or if u ask at reception, drivers/riders are mental..put us off hiring 🤣

What great place!! It's a little "dated" but beyond that it's perfectly serviceable. Spotlessly clean throughout with very comfortable beds. Our room was a little dark, but as we only slept there that wasn't really an issue. Rooms are serviced daily and there's water in the fridge. All the staff were very pleasant, friendly and helpful. The frequent Shuttle bus to Sorrento is very useful, and the last bus back at 23:00 hrs is great for the night owls, but it's only about a 30 minute walk anyway. The coastal railway to Naples is only a 10 minute walk down the hill, giving access to Pompei, Vesuvius, Herculamium and other locations. Beware, it is a very busy train. If you want to guarantee a seat on your outbound journey, take one of the morning shuttles to Sorrento. It's the end of the line so if you're early enough there are plenty of seats. It will most likely be standing room only for the return. Once back at the hotel, the bar is open all day for a refreshing drink and usually light snacks by the pool. We had a great holiday and would thoroughly recommend Grand Hotel La Pace. Oh, and one other benefit at our age: there's no children!!

This was a brilliant holiday at a lovely hotel. Not enough good words for all the staff, they were fantastic. The room was perfect, the hotel was perfect and the food was perfect. We have stayed all over Italy in various hotels and will definitely return here. The moans about the distance to Sorrento make me laugh as they all knew the position of the hotel when booking. Thanks again to all the staff.

I will try to be as honest as I can. The building, staff and cleanliness are all good plus points. The decor is excellent so ignore the few reviews stating otherwise. The pool area is great with plenty of sunbeds and a good bar. There is a shuttle bus which offers a not quite hourly service, between the hotel and the town. This is essential as the walk is said to be 25 minutes but is certainly longer than this. There is an ongoing problem with the lifts which may impact visits from guests with impaired movement The minus point is the food. This has been mentioned in previous reviews so to elaborate in an honest appraisal. There was little choice although what was offered was adequate if a little dull considering we were in Italy. The temperature of the food was quite low but again this is a personal choice. Desserts were unspectacular. These comments apply to all meals. One additional comment about food - the afternoon snack consisted of a few pastries. Not good enough,! All in all a good hotel in a beautiful town but be aware of the food issues. I would welcome feedback from the hotel.
